Custodian

Teachers First is seeking a dedicated and reliable part-time Custodian to join our team at Muskegon Heights Public School Academy System. This position requires the responsibility for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Routine cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance tasks across classrooms, restrooms, hallways, cafeteria, and office spaces.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floor surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Restock paper products, hand sanitizers, and soap dispensers throughout the facility.
• Assist with setting up and arranging furniture for school functions, meetings, and events.
• Report any safety hazards, needed repairs, or maintenance issues to the Director of Facilities promptly.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior custodial, janitorial, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Must satisfactorily pass a criminal background check prior to starting work.
• Strong reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
