Custodian (STP)
The Plant Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the manufacturing facility, including production areas, offices, restrooms, break rooms. This role supports plant safety, hygiene, and operational efficiency by ensuring a clean and organized work environment and in compliance with company standards.
DESCRIPTION
- Ensure all parameters of Safety, Food Safety and Quality are being adhered to and maintained throughout the plant.
- Immediately report to supervisor any incident and unsafe condition (including minor property damage).
- Sweep, mop, and clean production floors regularly to remove plastic dust, trimmings, and debris.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and office areas.
- Empty and replace trash bags and recycling containers across all departments.
- Clean entranceways, loading docks, and employee locker rooms areas.
- Operate and maintain floor-cleaning equipment (e.g., sweepers, scrubbers).
- Support general cleaning and sanitation related to pest control protocols.
- Monitor and restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, toilet paper, and cleaning materials.
- Support cleaning tasks in other departments or company locations as requested.
- Notify supervisors of any facility damage, spills, or safety concerns.
- Follow all safety protocols, especially around machines, plastic waste, and chemical use.
- Follows housekeeping standards.
- Maintain area organized and clean.
- Perform all tasks with a sense of urgency and accuracy.
- Follows safety policies and sanitation regulations.
- Conduct other duties as assigned by management.
