Lead the growth of beef genetic solutions in Western Canada!

This role leads the go-to-market strategy and operational execution of Alta's Custom Collection genetic services for beef seedstock producers. It blends commercial leadership, client relationship management, and cross-functional coordination to drive revenue growth while delivering an exceptional customer and animal experience. Acting as a key liaison between producers, internal teams, sales leadership, and industry partners, this position plays a vital role in advancing innovative genetic solutions across the region.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the go-to-market strategy for Custom Collection services in Canada, partnering with sales leadership on revenue targets, budgets, and performance goals.
  • Manage the sales funnel, pipeline reporting, and identify cross-selling opportunities
  • Coordinate operational execution by partnering with Production and Supply Chain on collection schedules, logistics, inventory, and timelines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering proactive communication and resolving service inquiries to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate client records and oversee customer communications related to biosecurity, process updates, promotions, and service offerings.
  • Support financial coordination by partnering with Finance on accurate billing, revenue recognition, invoicing, and follow-up on outstanding accounts, while representing Alta at key industry events and associations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven background in the Canadian beef seedstock industry, with a strong understanding of the AI industry and its value to producers.
  • Broad knowledge of the Canadian beef industry, spanning both seedstock and commercial operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales leadership, account management, or program management within agriculture, livestock, or a related industry.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing revenue targets, sales pipelines, and performance reporting.
  • Excellent client relationship, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across sales, production, finance, and marketing teams.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to lead and collaborate with support staff and represent the organization professionally
  • Eligible for regular travel up to 50% seasonally for bull sales and exhibitions.
