Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are looking for Customer Care Agents to join a well-respected and successful client at Birmingham International Airport.
All necessary training will be fully paid and provided by sector experts including support in obtaining relevant background checks. There is on-site mentoring and clear career pathways leading to specialist management roles within our team, so think big!

What's on offer:
- Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour
- Shifts : You will be required to book a minimum of 4 shifts per week ( these shifts will be offered depending on operational requirements)
- You can book overtime up via our Elevate App.
- Shift times : 03:00am to 09:00 am or 11:00 to 17:00pm or 11:00 to 19:00pm ( You must be fully flexible to start or finish at any of these times)

Key Responsibilities:
- Being professional, polite and courteous at all times.
- Escorting arriving and departing passengers with reduced mobility (along with accompanying family as necessary) through the airport either on foot, by wheelchair or electric buggy/caddy as depicted by their categorisation.
- Providing assistance with the passenger luggage.
- Completing the Daily Equipment Check Sheet, to maintain the operational reliability of the equipment, reporting where necessary, any equipment defects in line with the equipment inspection procedure.
- Ensuring that wheelchairs and buggies are always clean and tidy.
- Ensure that Centralised Control is updated on progress by use of IT handsets.
- Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed legibly and submitted in a timely manner.
- Any additional reasonable duties, as assigned by operational management.
- This is a wheelchair assistance role, NOT Check-In.
Requirements:
- Great work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong Customer Service.
- Self-motivated and willing to work using own initiative.
- To multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Previous airport experience is an advantage but not essential.
- UK Settled Status (If applicable).
- Proof of (current) Address
- Successful candidates will be required to complete a basic DBS record check following interview in line with CAA requirements.
PLEASE NOTE: As this position is in the aviation industry, successful applicants must be able to provide 5-year checkable history.
