Customer Care Associate

The Customer Care Associate represents the Potter League to members of the public and provides exceptional customer service to customers, volunteers, and fellow staff.

Daytime hours only, but candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule including one or both weekend days.

Required duties include:

• Greets visitors, answers phone calls, and returns voicemails and email promptly and courteously.
• Answers questions and explains organization programs, policies, and procedures.
• Facilitates visitation between customers and animals and is familiar with and can articulate special qualities of all animals.
• Prepares paperwork for and completes process of adoption, surrender, and pet safe transactions.
• Monitors shelter census for incoming and outgoing animals, including DOA pets, strays and pets in shelter for medical procedures.
• Assisting customers with end of life options for their pets including taking possession of and properly storing deceased animals.
• Ensures animal management software is up to date and accurate.
• Resolves customer concerns and deescalates minor conflicts or refers to appropriate member of management when necessary.
• Processes accurate monetary transactions including retail sales, crate rentals, donations and training center classes and playgroup fees.
• Other clerical duties including maintaining files, preparing reports, data entry, etc.
• Completes opening and closing routines including but not limited to: cleaning of public areas, including bathrooms; accurate reconciliation of financial reports, money handling, and deposits; checking and replenishing supplies and inventory; unlocking/locking appropriate doors.
• Performs miscellaneous duties including but not limited to cleaning company vehicles and equipment, taking inventory and restocking supplies, running errands.
• Represents the Potter League in a professional and courteous manner
