Are you passionate about building strong communities and supporting volunteers who make a real impact? We're seeking a Customer Care Specialist who will play a key role in shaping the future of newly established Girl Scout Troops. This is a full-time non-exempt position.
The Customer Care Specialist is responsible for providing the highest level of customer service to all members/customers, both external and internal via phone, email or in person. The Specialist produces provides direct administrative support to all customers, including staff and volunteers by producing flyers, certificates, materials, booklets, brochures, website editing, email communication and customer surveys. The Specialist maintains an integrated, comprehensive database of camp, events, program, membership, and training information via custom software. The Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and retrieval of processed data.
This is a hybrid role, NOT a fully remote position. The selected candidate must reside in North Carolina, specifically within our council’s 41-county service footprint. The hourly rate of pay is $18.00.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Deliver high-quality, customer-centric support via phone, email, and in-person inquiries in a multi-channel contact center.
- Research and resolve customer questions, maintain accurate contact logs, and serve as the primary front-desk receptionist.
- Provide administrative support to staff and volunteers, including producing recruitment, event, and training materials (flyers, booklets, certificates) that align with Girl Scout style guidelines; manage mailroom/copier operations, track and order supplies, and handle confidential communications.
- Assist with requested website updates and maintain an accurate, up-to-date online council calendar for events and training notices.
- Standardize, update, and archive numbered forms, as well as build, manage, and process online and paper surveys.
- Maintain accurate database records for camp, membership, troop, and training registrations; process payments, financial assistance, "cookie dough," campership paperwork, and property reservations.
- Oversee event and training product set-ups, process Highest Awards (Gold, Silver, and Bronze), and coordinate with teams to prepare confirmation packets for events and adult training.
- Manage volunteer training records and assist with volunteer certification processes (including CPR and Archery supplies and cards).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
