We're looking for a Customer Data Analyst to join our Customer Data & Intelligence team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
In this role, you'll help accelerate Foodies' journey towards becoming New Zealand's most customer-led retailer. You'll transform complex data into actionable customer insights that drive better decisions, improve customer experiences, and support the growth of our grocery brands.
Working with data from across the business and external partners, you'll identify customer trends, behaviours, and opportunities that inform strategy and deliver commercial outcomes. You'll combine strong analytical capability with a customer-first mindset to turn data into meaningful actions that create value for our customers, co-operatives, and teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering customer insights, marketing intelligence and data-driven recommendations that support business priorities.
- Analysing customer behaviour to identify opportunities for improved engagement and customer outcomes.
- Developing customer segmentation, targeting approaches and analytical solutions to support marketing initiatives.
- Creating dashboards, reports and visualisations that bring data to life.
- Working with internal teams and external partners to maximise the value of customer data assets.
- Supporting the optimisation and automation of customer data, reporting and insight solutions.
- Measuring the effectiveness of customer and marketing activity through data and analysis.
- Championing a customer-centric, insight-led approach across the business.

You'll be naturally curious, analytical and customer-focused, with a talent for turning data into meaningful insights and business outcomes. You enjoy solving problems, identifying opportunities, and helping others understand the story behind the data.
You'll also bring:
- Experience in customer analytics, insights, business intelligence, research, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, patterns and opportunities.
- Highly proficient using Tableau
- Strong Big Query, SQL or other scripting languages
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights.
- A collaborative approach and the confidence to work across a range of teams and stakeholders.
- Experience in retail, FMCG, loyalty, or customer-focused environments would be advantageous.
