Discussion

Neways Cable & Wire Solutions (NCWS) Echt specialises in the development, industrialisation, assembly, and testing of advanced cable systems and connectivity solutions for the international high-tech industry. From our site in Echt, we develop innovative solutions for the semiconductor, medical, and safety & security sectors. Our complex cable assemblies and ultra-clean connectivity solutions are used in advanced machines and systems worldwide.

At NCWS Echt, you will become part of a professional and close-knit organisation where quality, craftsmanship, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. Thanks to our short communication lines, you will quickly take on responsibility and have plenty of opportunities to contribute ideas and drive improvements. At the same time, you benefit from the international strength of the Neways Group and collaborate with colleagues across different disciplines and locations.

This is how you make impact

As a Customer Quality Engineer, you are the primary point of contact for customers when quality complaints or deviations arise. You assess, register, and coordinate complaints and ensure timely, accurate, and professional communication throughout the process.

You own the complete complaint process and stay in close contact with the customer from start to finish. You coordinate quality complaints within NCWS and with our production site NSK in Slovakia. You request root cause analyses and corrective actions from internal departments, suppliers, and NSK, assess their quality and effectiveness, and translate the outcomes into clear customer communication.

For in-depth technical analyses, you work closely with Account Engineering and other specialists within the multidisciplinary Customer Focus Team (CFT). You monitor progress, bring the right stakeholders together, and ensure that commitments are followed through. With your structured approach, you manage and prioritise multiple complaints at the same time and determine the appropriate level of investigation based on risk, impact, and customer expectations.

As you grow in the role, you will increasingly be involved earlier in RFQs, proposals, and order acceptance. From a Quality perspective, you help translate customer requirements into what Neways can realistically deliver and align expectations with both the customer and internal stakeholders. You report directly to the QESH Manager.

This is what we offer you

You will join an international high-tech organisation where innovation, quality, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. At NCWS Echt, you will work in an open and informal environment where colleagues know each other, communication lines are short, and initiative is highly valued.

The combination of a specialised manufacturing site and the international strength of the Neways Group gives you a high level of responsibility and excellent opportunities for personal and professional development. You will collaborate with professionals from various disciplines while contributing to advanced cable and connectivity solutions for leading international customers.

In addition, we offer:

  • A competitive salary based on your knowledge and experience;

  • 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days;

  • Flexible working hours and the opportunity to work partly from home;

  • Extensive training and development opportunities;

  • A competitive pension scheme;

  • Holiday allowance;

  • Travel reimbursement;

  • An attractive bicycle plan.

This is what you bring to the team

You are customer-focused, communicatively strong, and highly structured. You switch easily between customers, colleagues, and different departments and maintain oversight in a dynamic environment with multiple ongoing cases. Even when the pressure rises, you stay calm, accurate, and focused on closing actions and commitments.

You are strong in coordinating and administratively managing complaint processes. You do not need to be the technical expert on every detail, but you understand technical and logistical issues well enough to ask the right questions, assess analyses, and involve the right specialists. You connect easily with people, feel comfortable in an open and informal working environment, and are motivated to quickly learn new systems, processes, and quality methods.

Additionally, you bring:

  • HBO level of working and thinking; a technical degree is an advantage, but relevant experience and learning agility are equally important;

  • Experience in customer contact, complaint management, customer service, or a comparable coordinating role is a strong advantage; quality experience is welcome but not essential for every customer team;

  • Knowledge of quality methodologies such as 8D and FMEA, or the willingness to learn them quickly;

  • Strong organisational skills: you can prioritise, structure, and follow up multiple cases at the same time;

  • A good understanding of the connection between quality, logistical flow, and manufacturing processes;

  • Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to connect easily with customers and colleagues;

  • Good command of English is essential. Dutch is strongly preferred and required for some customer teams; German is an advantage;

  • Experience in a demanding high-tech customer environment, such as the ASML ecosystem, is a strong advantage for some customer teams.

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Assessing, accepting, registering, and coordinating customer complaints;

  • Coordinating customer complaints within NCWS and with our production site NSK in Slovakia;

  • Managing and prioritising multiple complaints simultaneously while monitoring progress, actions, and deadlines;

  • Acting as the primary customer contact throughout the complete complaint process;

  • Requesting, reviewing, and following up root cause analyses (RCAs) and corrective actions from internal departments, suppliers, and NSK;

  • Coordinating the technical resolution together with Account Engineering and other disciplines within the Customer Focus Team;

  • Preparing, conducting, and following up customer audits and providing quality input for Business Reviews and Voice of Customer discussions;

  • Monitoring customer-specific quality requirements and supporting New Product Introductions;

  • Supporting RFQs, proposals, order acceptance, and customer contract discussions by aligning quality requirements with our capabilities and competences;

  • Actively contributing to structural quality improvements and translating lessons learned into processes and ways of working.
