Customer Reliability Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Customer Reliability Engineer who will join our team in Spain, Valencia.


✅ Requirements:

✔️ 3+ years of commercial experience in web development or platform operations;
✔️ Strong reading comprehension of JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js codebases (ability to debug, trace issues, and analyze application logic);
✔️ Hands-on experience with MySQL - writing and optimizing queries, analyzing slow queries, understanding schema design;
✔️ Experience with ClickHouse or other OLAP/analytical databases;
✔️ Understanding of microservice architecture principles and how services interact (REST, WebSockets, message queues);
✔️ Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Kibana, Datadog, or similar);
✔️ Experience with GIT version control system;
✔️ Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills - ability to investigate production issues end-to-end;
✔️ Excellent communication skills - comfortable working as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders;
✔️ At least Upper-Intermediate level of English (daily written and verbal communication with partners).

✅ Will be a plus:
✔️ Experience with Nest.js framework;
✔️ Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ/Kafka (understanding message flows and debugging queue-related issues);
✔️ Experience with Docker/Kubernetes (navigating containerized environments, reading logs, restarting services);
✔️ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines;
✔️ Previous experience in a support engineering, SRE, technical account management, or similar bridge role;
✔️ Experience communicating with external partners or third-party API providers (incident coordination, escalation, integration troubleshooting);
✔️ Experience with processes automatizations;
✔️ Basic understanding of business metrics and how platform behavior impacts them.

✅ Duties and opportunities:
✔️ Investigate and resolve platform issues reported by business teams - trace problems through the application stack down to the database layer;
✔️ Debug Node.js services and write diagnostic queries against MySQL and ClickHouse to identify root causes;
✔️ Act as the primary bridge between operations/business and the development team - translate business impact into actionable technical tasks;
✔️ Communicate improvement recommendations and bug reports to the dev team with clear reproduction steps and data;
✔️ Manage day-to-day technical communication with third-party platform partners (incident handling, integration issues, data discrepancies);
✔️ Contribute to internal runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base documentation;
✔️ Monitor platform health and proactively flag reliability risks before they become business-critical.
