Customer security engineer (pentest)

Discussion

Summary

Aikido (developer-first security tools) is hiring its first Customer Security Engineer for a new pentesting product. Day to day you guide customers through white-glove pentests before, during, and after testing, answer deep technical questions, validate findings and false positives, and advise on vulnerability remediation. Core skills: hands-on pentesting and application/infrastructure security.

🌍 We’re making security suck less for developers.

Security tools haven’t kept up with how software is built today. They interrupt teams, slow releases, and turn security into a bottleneck instead of a capability. We built Aikido to change that. Aikido builds developer-first security products that reduce real risk without getting in the way of shipping software. We focus on what actually matters and automate the rest.

We’re taking on legacy security tools teams have been stuck with, and we’re winning. If you want to help us take market share and build products developers actually enjoy using, you’re in the right place.

Founded in 2022 by third-time founders, Aikido has $85M in the bank and a long runway ahead. We’re building toward self-securing software. Join an all-star team. Take real ownership. Push boundaries. Build things that matter.

We are launching a brand new pentesting product with huge ambition. This market is multi-billion in size, ripe for disruption, and has the potential to outgrow our existing product lines. We are still in a true zero-to-one phase.

As our first Customer Security Engineer (pentest), you will own the end-to-end delivery of white-glove pentesting services by guiding customers before, during, and after tests and turning findings into clear, actionable next steps.

Responsibilities

  • Guide customers end-to-end through their pentests (before, during, and after), helping them get maximum value from the product and ensuring smooth, high-quality engagements.

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers, answering deep technical questions around test setups, scope, results and validating potential false positives.

  • Translate findings into action, advising customers on how to prioritize and effectively remediate discovered vulnerabilities in a way that fits their architecture and development workflows.

  • Collaborate closely with the AI pentesting team, feeding real-world customer insights back into the product to improve accuracy, usability, and impact.

Requirements

  • Hands-on pentesting experience

  • Comfortable working directly with customers

  • Strong application or infrastructure security skills

  • Clear communicator, technical but human

  • OSCP, OSWE, CREST, or similar is a plus

What you can expect:

  • High-impact position in a fast-growing company.

  • Fast growth of responsibility.

  • Competitive salary package.

  • A company that sticks to its values in an open and informal atmosphere (see our culture page on the website for more details).

  • Flexibility in working hours

You will be recruited based on competencies. The qualities of people are decisive, regardless of gender, religion, ethnic origin, age, sexual orientation, or disability.
