Description

About the role

Do you want to work in one of the most iconic settings in Catalonia? Join the Montserrat Aerial Tramway team!

We are looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team and offer an unforgettable experience to the thousands of visitors who visit our facilities every year.

If you are a dynamic person, with a vocation for service, proficiency in English, and a desire to work facing the public in a unique natural and historic setting, this is your opportunity! We are looking for someone with ease in dealing with people, the ability to work both in the cabins and at the ticket offices and, very importantly: no fear of heights, as we will train our team for work at heights.

If you are passionate about customer service and want to be part of the history of one of Montserrat's most emblematic tourist transports, we want to meet you!

What you'll do

In your day-to-day as an Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support in the daily operations of the Aerial Tramway and ensuring an excellent experience for users:

  • User assistance and accompaniment: Accompany and attend to visitors during the journey in the cabins, resolving doubts and offering personal and friendly service.
  • Sale of transport tickets: Management of ticket sales and customer service at the upper station ticket office of the Aerial Tramway.
  • Access control and flow: Control passenger queues to coordinate the flow of visitors in an orderly and efficient manner.
  • Boarding supervision: Supervise and direct passenger boarding and disembarking operations in the designated areas, ensuring compliance with safety measures.
  • Maintenance of facilities: Ensure the good condition, order, and cleanliness of the boarding and disembarking areas.

What we're looking for

What do we need you to bring?

  • Academic training: Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) or equivalent qualification.
  • Languages: Spoken proficiency in Catalan, Spanish, and English (essential for attending to national and international visitors).
  • Professional profile: Person oriented towards customer service, with good communication skills, empathy, and adaptability to work both in the cabin and at the ticket offices.
  • Physical fitness and safety: It is essential not to have a fear of heights, as mandatory training and work at heights will be carried out.

What you'll get

  • Contract and working day: Full-time contract of 40 hours per week, with an irregular distribution of working and rest days.
  • Schedule: Daytime shift from 9:15 am to 7:10 pm (with a 30-minute lunch break), according to the application of the Funicular Aeri de Montserrat collective agreement. The same number of days is not worked every week.
  • Base salary: 19,355.70 — gross annual.
  • Applicable salary supplements: Sunday bonus (€10.97/day), inter-weekly holiday bonus (€31.47/day) or on-call shifts (€67.61...), as applicable.
  • Unique work environment: Work in a first-class natural and heritage setting such as the Montserrat mountain.
  • Continuous training: Specialized training provided by the company in work at heights and operational safety.
  • Own collective agreement: Conditions regulated by the company's own collective agreement, Funicular Aeri de Montserrat.
