We are recruiting for a Customer Service Officer – Oude Meer, Amsterdam to join our Front Office team. In this role, you’ll process orders, prepare correspondence and support customer needs to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction across the EMEA region.
You’ll research and analyse customer enquiries and complaints received through management or other GXO channels, working closely with colleagues and managers to resolve issues quickly, communicate outcomes clearly and support continuous improvement in service delivery.

How you'll make an impact
- Process customer orders, prepare correspondence and support customer requirements to help ensure satisfaction
- Manage complex administration tasks, including data from multiple dashboards and systems
- Handle routine customer calls professionally and escalate complex issues to the appropriate level of management
- Research customer enquiries and complaints, resolving issues in a timely and effective manner
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, including enquiries, comments, complaints and decisions on resolution
- Communicate courteously with customers by telephone, email and face-to-face
- Support operations teams on a 1:1 basis with related processes and day-to-day requirements
- Manage multiple processes at one time and provide support to different departments when required
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute ideas to improve customer service delivery
- Produce clear documentation and written information for customers when requested
What you'll bring to GXO
- At least three years’ experience within a customer service environment
- Trouble shooting or communication
- Understanding of a WMS system and ticketing flows
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- A self-driven, resilient approach and the ability to thrive in a challenging environment
- Confidence working in a diverse and international environment
- A commitment to delivering high-quality work with a professional and critical attitude
- Excellent reporting and presentation skills
- Great people skills, a solid personality and convincing communication style
- The ability to monitor and uphold a high quality of service for both internal and external clients
- Intermediate vocational education in logistics, supply chain management or an equivalent field, would be preferred not essential
Your work environment:
Working activities are in an office environment. You’ll be part of a team that supports customers, operations and internal departments through effective communication, accurate administration and timely issue resolution.
