Pay $20.04 per hour
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in an administrative capacity and/or customer service work required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of construction methods and terminology strongly preferred.
- Considerable knowledge of clerical office practices and procedures, business English and spelling.
- Considerable knowledge of computer use, including word processing, spreadsheets, data bases, and other specialty software.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Skills in typing, dictation, minutes, operation of standard office equipment and telephone etiquette.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions; work within established routines and procedures, work with limited direct supervision; maintain confidential information.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the general public, city officials, elected officials, and other City employees.
- Ability to learn specialized terminology and/or procedures and practices, including reading maps or other types of information.
