Seasonal Customer Service Representative
📍 Location: Portland, OR (Onsite) - North West Portland to be exact, closer to Beaverton, OR
💲 Pay: $20.00/hour for the first 5 weeks, then increases to $21.00/hour for the remainder of the assignment
📅 Start Date: September 28, 2026
⏳ Contract Length: Through February 13, 2027 - There is a chance to land a long-term spot with this company after the season.
🕒 Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
About the Opportunity
A leading outdoor apparel and footwear company is seeking Seasonal Customer Service Representatives to support increased customer demand during their busy season. This is a great opportunity to gain experience with a well-known consumer brand while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
In this role, you'll be the voice of the brand, assisting customers through phone, chat, and email while providing personalized, high-quality service.
What You'll Do
- Handle a high volume of inbound customer calls, chats, and emails
- Assist customers with product questions, order inquiries, billing, and account-related concerns
- Help customers with warranty claims and claim status updates
- Resolve customer issues with professionalism, empathy, and problem-solving skills
- Make customer-focused decisions while adhering to company policies
- Build rapport with customers through friendly and personalized interactions
- Learn product information and stay up to date on product offerings
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience during every interaction
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of customer service experience
- Retail, call center, hospitality, sales, or food service experience is highly transferable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable handling difficult customer conversations professionally
- Strong computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously
- Experience with Microsoft Office and email platforms
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong desire to help customers
Training
Training is mandatory and attendance is required for the entire training period.
Training Schedule:
- 2 to 3 weeks
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Work Schedule
Schedules will be assigned within the operating hours below:
Pre-Season Hours
- Monday through Friday
- 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Peak Season Hours
- Sunday through Saturday
- 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Schedules may start up to 15 minutes before opening or end up to 15 minutes after closing.
Important Seasonal Requirements
Peak season runs from November 1, 2026 through February 13, 2027.
Candidates must be comfortable with:
- Working weekends and flexible schedules
- Overtime opportunities during peak season
- Mandatory workdays on Black Friday and Cyber Monday
- Additional shifts being added during peak business periods
- A time-off blackout period from November 27 through December 12
Holiday closures include:
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- New Year's Day
