Customer Service Representative - Government Products
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Customer Service Representative - Government Products based in the United States.
This is a fully remote, inbound customer service role supporting members with important healthcare and government-related products and services.
You will serve as a primary point of contact, helping customers navigate claims, enrollment, billing, pharmacy, benefits, and contract questions.
The role combines compassionate service with detailed problem-solving in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
You will use strong communication, multitasking, and service-recovery skills to resolve complex member situations and deliver positive outcomes.
Paid training will provide a strong foundation in health plan and claims knowledge, preparing you for long-term growth.

Accountabilities:
- Provide high-quality, empathetic inbound customer service to members, resolving questions and concerns related to claims, enrollment, billing, pharmacy, benefits, contracts, and other health plan services.
- Explain benefits, coverage details, and applicable policies clearly and accurately while ensuring members understand their available options.
- Apply established service-recovery processes to manage complex or sensitive customer situations and work toward effective resolutions.
- Deliver consistently high levels of service satisfaction while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and appropriate documentation.
- Manage multiple systems, customer interactions, and information sources simultaneously while maintaining efficient time management and attention to detail.
- Collaborate closely with teammates to resolve customer issues, share knowledge, and contribute to a supportive service environment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide constructive feedback to peers and mentors.
- Develop knowledge across multiple products, platforms, health plan processes, and customer-service procedures.
- Adapt quickly to changes in healthcare regulations, products, processes, systems, and operational priorities.
- Participate in paid training and ongoing learning designed to strengthen healthcare, health-plan, and claims expertise.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; relevant work experience may be considered in place of the educational requirement.
- 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare-related environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and professionally.
- Strong customer-service orientation and demonstrated ability to deliver quality experiences in a member-focused environment.
- Advanced multitasking and time-management abilities, with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ability to learn quickly, retain detailed product and process information, and apply knowledge across multiple systems and platforms.
- Strong collaboration skills and willingness to support colleagues in resolving customer issues.
- Ability to identify process-improvement opportunities and provide constructive mentor or peer feedback.
- Adaptability and resilience when working in a rapidly changing healthcare and operational environment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

- Fully remote work opportunity within eligible U.S. states.
- 4–6 weeks of paid training, with training scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. CT.
- Competitive salary grade of $34,100–$53,200, with a typical hiring range of $33,300–$43,680, depending on qualifications and other applicable factors.
