Customer Service Representative

Why We Need You
As one of the first points of contact for our clients, the Client Service Representative plays an important role in creating a welcoming experience and building trust and confidence in our hospital team.
Essential Functions
- Greet clients and their pets and provide a welcoming, professional experience.
- Answer incoming calls and assist clients with questions and hospital information.
- Schedule and confirm appointments.
- Make outbound calls for follow-ups and prospective clients.
- Present and explain fees and process payments.
- Assist clients with products, services, and prescriptions.
- Provide general education regarding non-medical pet care, including heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea and tick control.
- Maintain accurate medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence.
- Assist with maintaining a clean and organized hospital environment, including the removal of animal waste when necessary.
- Work closely with the hospital team to help ensure clients and patients receive timely and compassionate service.
Qualifications
- At least one year of customer service experience.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Compassion for both pets and people.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to learn and apply new information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work in an animal hospital environment with potential exposure to allergens, contagious diseases, noise, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste.
Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $20–$23 per hour.
