As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the direct connection between Weatherby and our customers, ensuring that every question, service request, or warranty claim is handled with care and accuracy.
Summary
As a Weatherby CSR, you'll play a critical role in supporting our Customer Service Department. You'll correspond with customers and internal teams to resolve issues, process orders, handle service and warranty claims, and ensure customer satisfaction. Your work helps Weatherby deliver on its commitment to provide "Best in the Industry" service, blending technical knowledge, problem-solving, and customer care.

What You'll Do
- Create a welcoming experience by engaging with customers, listening to their concerns, and working with energy to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Demonstrate a helpful spirit by going above and beyond to provide solutions, while discerning what is fair for the customer and reasonable for the company to cover.
- Communicate with boldness, compassion, and professionalism when explaining outcomes-whether resolving an issue or clarifying why a claim cannot be covered.
- Enter accurate, detailed data into Netsuite to ensure proper documentation and procedural accuracy.
- Initiate and process Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) with care and efficiency.
- Deliver timely, accurate, and friendly service that builds trust and strengthens Weatherby's reputation for excellence.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.
Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to prepare correspondence and reports, and communicate effectively with customers and employees.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills (including math proficiency in rates, ratios, percentages, and graphs).
- Customer focus and service orientation.
- Time management and teamwork orientation.
- Technical capacity, including:
- Firearm knowledge, field experience, and/or technical background preferred.
- Experience with MAS and/or IQMS for order entry and adjustments.
- Ability to process RMAs, service orders, and warranty claims.
- Ability to research and resolve order, payment, or shipment issues.
- Proficiency with figures and calculations (discounts, commissions, proportions, algebra, geometry).
Accountabilities and Measures
Meet objective goals as assigned by the Customer Service Manager during performance evaluations.
Physical Requirements
- Primarily a sedentary role with occasional standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Requires close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 42 pounds; carry up to 15 pounds.
Work Environment
- Office/clerical environment with standard office equipment.
- Occasional exposure to manufacturing settings with fumes, airborne particles, moving machinery, vibration, and moderate to loud noise levels.
