Customer Service/Respiratory Specialist

The Role: To support patients by assisting with the selection and purchase of respiratory supplies, while providing exceptional customer service in a friendly and professional environment. This includes processing transactions, managing inventory, and ensuring all orders are accurately generated with proper documentation and insurance verification.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in retail, customer service, or a medical office setting
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology and medical insurance processes is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a high degree of empathy and patience
• Skilled with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory software

What You’ll Be Doing

• Greet customers, assess their medical equipment needs, and recommend appropriate products.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on the safe and proper use, care, and maintenance of their durable medical equipment.
• Collect and verify patient demographics, prescriptions, and insurance information.
• Review physician orders for equipment set ups
• Set up CPAP, BiPAP, and related respiratory equipment
• Educate patients on proper use, mask fitting, cleaning, and maintenance
• Demonstrate equipment operation and answer patient questions
• Ensure patients understand compliance requirements and follow-up procedures
• Accurately document patient information, equipment serial numbers, and setup details
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed
