Customer Service & Sales Order Processer - Flexible Hours
We have an exciting opportunity to join our busy Telesales team as a Customer Service & Sales Order Processor helping us continue delivering the friendly, responsive and reliable service our customers know us for. And as we operate 24/7, the hours are flexible and can work around your availability.
You'll be right at the heart of our customer experience. From taking orders and answering product queries to sorting out delivery issues and making sure everything is entered accurately, you'll be someone our customers can rely on to listen, help and get things sorted. If you enjoy talking to people, solving problems and building great relationships, this could be just the role for you.
What will you be doing?
There’s plenty of variety. On a typical day, you’ll be:
- Talking to our customers, taking orders and helping with product, availability and delivery queries
- Managing orders and enquiries received by phone and email
- Accurately processing customer orders on our systems
- Checking order details and making sure everything is correct
- Processing changes, additions and cancellations to orders
- Working with different teams across the business to investigate and resolve customer queries
- Taking ownership when something goes wrong and seeing it through to resolution
- Keeping customers updated on changes or delays affecting their orders
- Building positive, long-lasting relationships with our customers
Accuracy is really important too. Our customers depend on us to get their orders right and on time, so you'll play an important part in making that happen.
What are we looking for?
First and foremost, we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping customers. You'll need:
- Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and in writing
- A friendly, confident and professional telephone manner
- Great attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Good computer skills and confidence working with different systems
- A positive, solutions-focused approach to customer service
- The ability to think on your feet and solve problems
- The confidence to take ownership of a customer query and follow it through
- The ability to stay calm, professional and helpful when things get busy
- A reliable and conscientious approach to your work
Previous experience in customer service, sales administration or order processing would be an advantage, as would experience within food wholesale, food service or distribution, but it's certainly not essential. For us, great customer service, communication skills and the ability to work accurately matter more than formal qualifications.
