Customer Service Specialist (Public Transit Dispatcher)
About the Role
As a Customer Service Specialist, you'll serve as a key point of contact for customers and drivers while helping manage daily transportation operations. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized while juggling multiple priorities throughout the day.
This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week. Hours fall within 5:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturday hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Apply and we can
What You'll Do
- Coordinate daily transportation schedules and assignments
- Communicate with drivers regarding schedules, route changes, and customer needs
- Answer incoming calls and assist customers with transportation services
- Provide exceptional customer service in a professional and courteous manner
- Complete required documentation and administrative tasks
- Monitor transportation operations and help resolve issues as they arise
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive customer information
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure safe, reliable transportation services

Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay of $21.01 per hour
- Eligibility to participate in the agency's 403(b) retirement plan
