Customer Service Webinar Question Coordinator
Customer Service Webinar Question Coordinator
Customer Service / Webinar Question Routing
Remote • Full-time
64,480–67,600 per year
During an online event, attendees send questions through a chat or Q&A panel. The Customer Service Webinar Question Coordinator captures those questions in an approved tracker, groups routine topics, and directs them to the presenter or support owner. This remote marketing support role does not answer technical or product questions beyond supplied guidance and does not moderate the event on its own. Its value is a clear handoff during a busy session.
Keep the question with its context
A participant may ask about a feature mentioned five minutes earlier or about an account issue unrelated to the presentation. Record the exact question and the relevant session or topic. If a question contains private customer information, do not copy it into a public presenter view; follow the secure referral process. A repeated question can be grouped for a presenter, but preserve any different details that change the answer. If the team cannot answer live, note the owner for follow-up rather than implying a response has been given.
After the session, an online record should show what was answered, what was deferred, and which questions need customer service. Office administration keeps the list accurate; customer service ensures a participant receives a practical next step when the event cannot resolve a personal concern. The employer will provide rules for anonymous questions, recording, and follow-up.
The assignment may include
- Review incoming webinar chat and Q&A messages in the assigned tool.
- Capture questions with the correct session context.
- Group similar topics without changing a participant's meaning.
- Send presenter questions to the approved queue.
- Refer private account issues to customer support securely.
- Note whether a question was answered, deferred, or needs follow-up.
- Prepare a concise post-event list for the owner.
- Protect attendee details under the event's privacy rules.
Experience in customer service, office administration, or online events can help, but the employer will train beginners on its platform and routing guide. You should be able to read quickly, write a short accurate note, and stay calm when messages arrive at once. You will not need to be the subject expert.
The remote role may have full-time hours. A home office or other focused workspace supports live online monitoring. The hiring team will confirm event timing and equipment.
During a busy question period
- Capture the question before the panel scrolls away.
- Note the session topic or slide if supplied.
- Group repeated general questions for the presenter.
- Keep a participant's account details out of public notes.
- Identify a question needing a follow-up owner.
- Mark a live answer only when it was actually given.
A webinar attendee may ask a topic question, report a broken joining link or include private account details in the public question box. Those should not all be handled in the same way. Keep the attendee's question with the correct session and route it to the presenter, support team or private channel under the event plan. When several people ask a similar question, show the pattern without assuming their situations are identical. If the session ends before an answer is given, record which question still needs follow-up so it does not disappear with the live chat.
After the webinar
- Compare deferred questions with the event team's notes.
- Send private matters to the secure support queue.
- Keep duplicate entries linked without deleting distinct concerns.
- Record the owner and status of unanswered questions.
- Use approved follow-up wording if assigned.
- Share only permitted summary information with presenters.
A participant may leave before receiving a live answer. The event owner will decide whether and how to follow up. Your tracker should make that decision possible without exposing private content in a public recap.
If a presenter answers part of a multi-part question, keep the remaining part visible. A checkmark against the whole entry can make a participant's practical issue disappear. After the session, the team may decide to publish a general FAQ from repeated questions; that editorial decision belongs to the owner. Your job is to preserve the questions and their status accurately. Where an attendee used a display name, follow the event's process before connecting it to a customer record.
This work depends on accurate live notes rather than an immediate answer to every question.
Applying to the role
Show a time you helped organize questions for another person to answer. A classroom, volunteer event, or previous job can provide a useful example. You do not need webinar hosting experience.
If selected to continue, you may be sent to the hiring company’s website for its application. The event team will explain its session format and training.
