CV Invasive Specialist, Full Time Days, 7a - 7p, Electrophysiology, Atlantic Health, Morristown Medical Center
- Assist physicians during EP procedures, including diagnostic studies, ablations, and device implants (pacemaker, ICD, CRT).
- Prepare procedure rooms, sterile fields, and specialized EP equipment (recording systems, ablation generators, mapping systems).
- Operate and troubleshoot EP monitoring and recording systems, documenting intracardiac signals and procedural data.
- Support sterile technique and assist with patient preparation, draping, and positioning.
- Monitor patient status during procedures in collaboration with RN and anesthesia teams; promptly escalate clinical changes.
- Assist with venous/arterial access setup, catheter preparation, and equipment handling.
- Participate in device interrogations, programming support, and post-procedure care as applicable.
- Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and EP reporting systems.
- Maintain inventory, stock supplies, and ensure readiness of emergency and procedural equipment.
- Adhere to radiation safety practices and regulatory standards (Joint Commission, CMS, infection prevention).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in a health-related field preferred.
- Completion of a Cardiovascular Technology, EP Technology, or related program preferred.
- Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Preferred:
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
- Certified Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
