  • Assist physicians during EP procedures, including diagnostic studies, ablations, and device implants (pacemaker, ICD, CRT).
  • Prepare procedure rooms, sterile fields, and specialized EP equipment (recording systems, ablation generators, mapping systems).
  • Operate and troubleshoot EP monitoring and recording systems, documenting intracardiac signals and procedural data.
  • Support sterile technique and assist with patient preparation, draping, and positioning.
  • Monitor patient status during procedures in collaboration with RN and anesthesia teams; promptly escalate clinical changes.
  • Assist with venous/arterial access setup, catheter preparation, and equipment handling.
  • Participate in device interrogations, programming support, and post-procedure care as applicable.
  • Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and EP reporting systems.
  • Maintain inventory, stock supplies, and ensure readiness of emergency and procedural equipment.
  • Adhere to radiation safety practices and regulatory standards (Joint Commission, CMS, infection prevention).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in a health-related field preferred.
  • Completion of a Cardiovascular Technology, EP Technology, or related program preferred.

  • Required:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
  • Preferred:
    • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
    • Certified Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS)
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
