Cyber Business Analyst

Troocoo is currently working with a large State Government client to recruit an experienced Business Systems Analyst. In this role you will deliver business and technical analysis for a cyber security uplift initiative by developing processes and artefacts that support security telemetry onboarding, monitoring and detection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and undertake business analysis activities across multiple work packages.
• Elicit, analyse and document business, functional and non-functional requirements.
• Support current state assessments and future state design activities across people, process and technology domains.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews and working sessions to identify business needs, challenges and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain requirements documentation, process models, business rules and supporting artefacts.
• Document and analyse existing and future state business processes

Your Background:

• Demonstrated experience performing business analysis activities within complex ICT, cyber security or business transformation initiatives, specifically in SOC environments.
• Proven experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and requirements elicitation activities.
• Experience documenting business processes, requirements and future state designs.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working across both business and technical stakeholder groups.

Highly desirable skills:

• Experience supporting cyber security initiatives, such as SOC maturity uplift, Essential Eight, Zero Trust, Secure by Design or related initiatives
• Experience of process development in the context of log source onboarding
• Familiar with Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and other cyber security monitoring and defence tools.
• Familiar with Data Lake and data collection solutions
• Experience conducting capability assessments, gap analysis and operating model reviews.
