HSBC Cybersecurity function is responsible for enabling businesses and functions to manage their information security and cybersecurity risks, as well as ensuring risk and controls are assessed, and implemented appropriately, objectively and independently through professional and specialized subject matter experts.


Cyber Consulting Lead Tech SME is a senior role supporting the Chief Information Security Officer for Enterprise Technology that is a part of 1st Line of Defence (1LoD). It will play a critical role in strengthening the organization’s cybersecurity posture by providing expert advice, technical leadership and strategic input across the business. This role involves active participation in the development, enhancement, and enforcement of cybersecurity strategies, policies and frameworks to ensure alignment with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.


What we offer

The pay range for this role is 22 317 PLN - 33 475 PLN (monthly, gross).

Additional car allowance in the amount of 4786 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

  • Hands-on coding experience in at least one modern programming language, preferably Java or Python – required
  • Strong understanding of secure software development practices and the ability to review, advise, and contribute to code where necessary.
  • Proven experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with a solid understanding of cloud security concepts.
  • Practical experience with Kubernetes, containers, and microservices security, including deployment, configuration, and security workloads.
  • Deep knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and practices, including secure architecture, risk management, and control design.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
