Cyber Defense Engineering
Design and improve cyber defense, monitoring, and response capabilities.
Evaluate security technologies and operational effectiveness.
Develop technical standards, procedures, and documentation.
Detection Engineering & Threat Analytics
Develop detection use cases and analytics based on threat intelligence and attack trends.
Analyze security events and improve visibility through data enrichment and correlation.
Support threat hunting and incident investigations.
Security Automation & Integration
Build automated workflows and system integrations to improve security operations.
Use scripting and APIs to reduce manual effort and enhance response capabilities.
Identify opportunities to improve scalability and operational efficiency.
Collaboration & Innovation
Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, application, and technology teams.
Provide technical recommendations for cyber defense initiatives.
Explore emerging threats and technologies, including AI-driven security capabilities.
What Will Set You Up for Success
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, IT, or a related field.
Experience in cybersecurity, security operations, detection engineering, or related disciplines.
Strong knowledge of cyber threats, security monitoring, and incident response.
Experience with security detection, automation, integration, or engineering solutions.
Knowledge of network, system, cloud, and enterprise security.
Scripting or programming skills for automation and integration.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in banking, financial services, fintech, or another regulated industry.
Experience in threat intelligence, threat hunting, advanced detection, or security automation.
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and industry standards.
Experience applying AI, machine learning, or data analytics to cybersecurity.
Relevant cybersecurity, cloud security, or security operations certifications.
