Summary

Teach cybersecurity and digital forensics to international postgraduate students, guiding them in forensic investigation techniques and evidence handling using industry-standard tools.

This is a remote position.

As an experienced online educator (LINC Fellow), the candidate will work as an independent contractor of LINC and serve a diverse international student body for Postgraduate-level programs studying at premier Australian and Asian universities. Candidate must possess strong knowledge of digital forensics, forensic investigation techniques, and electronic evidence handling. They should be able to support students in acquiring, analysing, and validating digital evidence, applying industry-standard forensic tools, and conducting forensic investigations across computers, mobile devices, networks, and virtual environments.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • PhD on ICT related field like cybersecurity

  • At least 3+ years of teaching in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance and 2+ years of corporate experience in cybersecurity roles (Knowledge of new trends in Cyber intelligence)

  • Proficient in business communication skills, including current academic/business communication practices, referencing styles, AI use and academic integrity policies.

  • Empathetic, ambitious, warm and outgoing personality willing to work closely with people from diverse cultures;

  • Proficient in English language; excellent oral and written communication

  • Must possess a working laptop and have access to high-speed (>10 MBPS) stable internet connection;

  • Ability to quickly learn and use technology platforms for interacting with students, including the host university’s LMS and LINCtrac (training on these platforms will be provided).


The candidate must be available Monday/Tuesday for online sessions between 8:30 AM and 2:30 PM, and they are required to be available to answer student queries via email within 6 hours after lectures throughout the week.



Roles & Responsibilities

LINC Fellows will be responsible for providing:

  1. Subject matter guidance to a group of 30-35 undergraduate online students;

  2. Support in learning skills like academic writing, research and time management;

  3. Guidance on relevant reference material;

  4. Conducting a 2-hour session on Monday/Tuesday

  5. Assessment marking with long-form feedback

  6. Management of discussion forums; and

  7. Proactive, prompt and personalised support to student queries and issues.


LINC Fellows will be expected to promptly interact with students over email, or calls / online sessions from locations of their convenience (e.g. home, office, etc.).
