Summary
Monitor and respond to cybersecurity threats using Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, and 365 security controls, investigating incidents like phishing and malware.
Salary: £62,400 - 62,400 per year
Requirements:- Previous experience working as a Cyber Security Analyst.
- Strong experience using Microsoft Sentinel for alert monitoring, investigation, and incident management.
- Good understanding of Microsoft security technologies, including Microsoft Defender and Microsoft 365 security controls.
- Experience investigating cyber incidents such as phishing attacks, malware, account compromise, and suspicious user activity.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management tools such as Nessus or similar platforms.
- Understanding of core security principles including threat detection, risk management, and incident response.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts and incidents within Microsoft Sentinel.
- Manage cyber security tickets, service requests, and day-to-day operational security activities.
- Analyse suspicious activity and escalate potential threats where appropriate.
- Support vulnerability management and remediation activities across the organisation.
- Assist with incident response, security investigations, and cyber improvement initiatives.

This is a 2-month initial contract with potential for extension, based in a hybrid Cardiff arrangement, paying £240 per day inside IR35.
