Cyber Security Architect

Salary: ASAP start | CBD/WFH hybrid

We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Cyber Security Architect to lead security architecture across cloud, enterprise networks, Microsoft 365 and identity platforms.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a large, innovative organisation undergoing significant digital transformation. You'll play a key role in strengthening its security posture, shaping modern cloud security architecture and embedding Secure by Design principles across major technology initiatives.

What you'll be doing

• Lead security architecture across AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, enterprise networks and identity platforms.
• Design and implement secure cloud architectures, security controls and reusable reference patterns.
• Review existing solutions, identify security gaps and drive remediation initiatives.
• Embed Secure by Design principles across new and existing technology projects.
• Design security architecture for cloud-based innovation and digital engineering environments.
• Strengthen identity, Zero Trust, network segmentation and cloud security controls.
• Integrate security technologies including Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, CSPM and PAM.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure and cyber security teams to deliver practical, scalable security solutions.

Skills and experience

• Extensive experience in IT or cyber security, including 5+ years in security architecture.
• Strong hands-on AWS and Azure cloud security architecture experience.
• Broad enterprise security expertise spanning networks, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Zero Trust.
• Experience designing security reference architectures and implementing cloud security controls.
• Strong understanding of security tooling, threat modelling, risk management and security frameworks.
• Experience reviewing and uplifting existing environments, not just designing new solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate complex security requirements into practical outcomes.
• Experience with critical infrastructure, AI platform security or large-scale enterprise transformation will be highly regarded.
