Cyber Security Architect | 12-Month Contract | Up to $1,233/day incl. Super

Location: Sydney Olympic Park, NSW (3 days onsite - mandatory)
Contract: 12 Months
Rate: Up to $1,233/day (including super)

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect to join a large NSW Government organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of cyber security architecture across a complex enterprise ICT environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise cyber security architecture and security controls.
• Provide security architecture advice for cloud, infrastructure, network, and application initiatives.
• Assess emerging technologies and provide recommendations on cyber risks and security controls.
• Ensure solutions align with security frameworks, standards, and organisational policies.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, project teams, and stakeholders to deliver secure-by-design solutions.
• Contribute to cyber security strategy, governance, and risk management activities.

Primary Skills

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Cyber Security Architecture within large enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud, infrastructure, network, and security architecture.
• Experience with ACSC ISM, ISO 27001/27002, NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, and related frameworks.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, SABSA, TOGAF, ISO 27001, ISO 31000, or Cloud Security certifications.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and modelling tools including ArchiMate, UML, or SysML.
• Experience working across Windows and Linux environments (desirable).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
