Cyber Security Business Analyst

You'll play a critical role in bridging the gap between business and technology, ensuring business requirements are understood, documented and translated into practical solutions that improve organisational security capability.
As the Cyber Security Business Analyst, you will:
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyse and document business, functional and non-functional requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews and stakeholder engagement sessions to define project outcomes and priorities.
- Produce high-quality business analysis artefacts including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), user stories, process maps and functional specifications.
- Analyse current and future state business processes, identifying opportunities for process improvement and cyber security uplift.
- Support solution design by translating business requirements into technical outcomes aligned with enterprise architecture and security principles.
- Assist with procurement activities including business requirements, vendor evaluations, RFP/RFQ development and solution assessments.
- Support testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management and implementation activities.
- Develop project documentation, reports and dashboards to support project delivery and informed decision-making.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure successful delivery of cyber security initiatives.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering technology or cyber security projects within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
- Experience eliciting, documenting and managing business, functional and non-functional requirements.
- Experience producing BRDs, user stories, process maps, gap analysis and business process documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into practical technical outcomes.
- Experience supporting testing, UAT and solution implementation activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience delivering Cyber Security projects.
- Experience working across initiatives such as Identity & Access Management (IAM), Security Operations (SOC), Vulnerability Management, Microsoft Security, Cloud Security, Zero Trust or Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC).
- Experience working within large enterprise or government environments.
- Familiarity with cyber security frameworks such as the ASD Essential Eight, NIST, ISO 27001 or the Information Security Manual (ISM).
