Job Summary

We’re looking for a Cyber Security Consultant to join our team and support the delivery of cyber security, risk and compliance engagements for our clients.

This is a great opportunity for someone in cyber security, IT risk or a related field who is looking to broaden their consulting experience and build deeper expertise across security frameworks, risk assessments and compliance.

Working alongside experienced senior cyber security professionals, you'll be involved in client engagements from assessment through to remediation and security improvement activities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with cyber security risk assessments, audits and security uplift activities;
• Conduct control assessments and review supporting evidence;
• Help develop security policies, procedures, risk registers and other client documentation;
• Contribute to client reports, recommendations and presentations;
• Track remediation actions and support clients with implementation activities;
• Participate in client workshops and stakeholder meetings;
• Work collaboratively with internal consultants and client teams; and
• Keep up to date with emerging cyber threats, regulatory developments and industry practices.

Requirements:

Essential

• 2–4 years' experience in cyber security, IT risk, governance, risk and compliance (GRC), or a related role;
• Foundational knowledge of frameworks such as ISO 27001, Essential Eight and/or NIST;
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
• Good written communication and documentation skills;
• Confidence working collaboratively with different stakeholders; and
• An interest in continuing to develop your cyber security and consulting capability.

Desirable

• Experience in a consulting or government environment would be highly regarded.
• Certifications such as Security+, ISO 27001 Foundation or similar would also be advantageous.

A current NV1 security clearance or higher is required for this role.
