Cyber security Consultant

Summary

Administers and enhances enterprise cybersecurity tools like Tenable Nessus and Cisco Stealthwatch, supports vulnerability management, and leads security projects across global regions.

Role Summary
Responsible for the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise cybersecurity tools across the US, APAC, and EMEA regions. Acts as the SME for Tenable Nessus and Cisco Network Analytics (Stealthwatch) while supporting security operations, vulnerability management, compliance, and security projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as SME for Tenable Nessus and Cisco Stealthwatch/Cisco Network Analytics.
  • Manage and support cybersecurity tools including Gigamon, NetWitness, Splunk, IDS/IPS, DLP, CrowdStrike, Trellix, LastPass, Obsidian Security, Cisco network devices, and in-house security applications.
  • Provide BAU support for security tools, including deployment, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
  • Lead vulnerability management activities, including security assessments, remediation tracking, and compliance reporting.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to protect corporate systems and data.
  • Support and deliver cybersecurity projects, platform upgrades, and security-related change requests.
  • Monitor security events, investigate incidents, and work with global teams to resolve security issues.
  • Perform security hardening, patch management, and compliance activities across Windows, Linux, Unix, and network environments.
  • Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and audit requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Security Tools & Engineering and provide technical guidance to internal stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Tenable Nessus, Cisco Stealthwatch, Gigamon, and NetWitness.
  • Knowledge of vulnerability management, security operations, threat detection, network security, incident response, and security compliance.
  • Experience supporting enterprise security platforms in a global environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and project delivery skills.
  • Experience with Windows, Linux/Unix, virtualization, and enterprise network security technologies.
