We’re looking for an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join a well-established organisation operating across a large and complex technology environment. This is a broad role combining hands-on security expertise, security improvement initiatives and working closely with external security partners.
Working as part of the Cyber Security Operations team, you’ll help maintain and strengthen security controls across a hybrid environment. You’ll work across both BAU and project initiatives, providing technical guidance, identifying areas for improvement and helping ensure security platforms and services remain effective as the threat landscape evolves.
What you’ll be doing

You’ll work across both BAU and project initiatives, providing technical guidance, identifying areas for improvement and helping ensure security platforms and services remain effective as the threat landscape evolves.
What you’ll be doing
- Providing technical guidance across cyber security initiatives and controls
- Assessing existing security tooling and recommending improvements
- Supporting vulnerability management and security control assessments
- Contributing to incident response, investigations and continuous improvement
- Leading security deployments, upgrades and integrations
- Working closely with internal technology teams, vendors and managed service providers
- 3+ years’ experience working within Cyber Security, including cloud-based security controls
- Strong knowledge across network security, firewalls, WAFs and security tooling
- Experience with SIEM, Identity & Access Management and vulnerability management
- Experience securing cloud and corporate environments such as Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Active Directory
- Hands-on experience with incident response, security controls and identifying areas for improvement
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to work across internal teams, vendors and managed service providers.
