Cyber Security Engineer

Location: Punggol
Role: Contract (Renewable basis)

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security controls and best practices.
• Conduct threat modelling and security assessments to identify risks and recommend mitigations.
• Support vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities.
• Review code and technical designs from a security perspective.
• Investigate and help remediate security findings and incidents.
• Contribute to security automation, tooling, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote secure development practices.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or related security engineering roles.
• Strong foundation in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, cloud security, threat modelling, or secure software development.
• Familiarity with security testing or code scanning tools.
• Basic coding or scripting skills with the ability to review code for security issues.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with different teams.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as OWASP, NIST, or CIS Controls.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications or security-related qualifications.
