Cyber Security Engineer
Zed Technologies is transforming healthcare delivery. Our secure last-mile software platform connects radiology groups, referring physicians and patients, delivering over 15 million diagnostic imaging studies a year across Australia and internationally.
As we continue to grow we're looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to take hands-on ownership of our security posture, including hardening infrastructure, closing vulnerabilities and embedding security by design into our software products.
What you'll do
Maintain and improve our ISMS in line with ISO 27001, keeping it audit-ready year-round
Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, endpoint protection, and network controls
Run vulnerability scans and drive remediation through to closure
Partner with developers to embed security and threat modelling into the SDLC
Be the go-to security contact for customers, vendor assessments and audits
Lead incident triage and response, from detection through to lessons learned
Deliver security awareness training and build a strong security culture org-wide
What you'll bring
3+ years in information security or a related technical role
Practical experience with firewalls, endpoint protection, patching and encryption
Hands-on vulnerability scanning and remediation tracking
Solid grasp of IAM principles (least privilege, MFA, access reviews)
Confident, clear communicator — equally comfortable in a ticket, a report, or a client call
A relevant IT/InfoSec qualification, or equivalent demonstrated experience
