Salary: $110 – $160 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Governance Analyst to step into a senior role alongside one of Canberra’s leading consulting firms. As part of our rapidly growing team, you will play a key role in supporting our government client.


Job details:

This role plays a key part in supporting cyber security governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) activities, contributing to organisational resilience and security uplift initiatives. During periods of heightened operational activity, the role will also support additional cyber security requirements as needed.

Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will help ensure security considerations are embedded across technology and business initiatives. The position contributes to cyber security assurance activities, executive decision-making artefacts, and the development and maintenance of formal security documentation that supports organisational resilience, governance, and regulatory compliance.


Key duties and responsibilities:

Within the program, the role will be responsible for various cyber functions, including but not limited to:

  • Contributing to solution design for security considerations;

  • Review and provide recommendations to develop security requirements;

  • Develop communications and documentation for senior executive decision making;

  • Support the coordination of security assurance processes including IRAP and penetration testing;

  • Lead the development of formal security documentation.


Essential Criteria

  • Knowledge of the Information Security Manual, Protective Security Policy Framework and Essential Eight

  • Demonstrated experience and capability performing a cyber security GRC role.

  • Demonstrated experience managing stakeholder or client interactions to achieve an outcome.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing GRC documentation


Desirable Criteria

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a cyber GRC role
