About the role
FSA Digital is seeking a hands-on Cyber Security Operations Analyst / Engineer to support cyber security operations, engineering, project delivery, and customer security initiatives. This is a broad generalist role suited to someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working across different security technologies, and helping organisations improve their overall cyber security posture.
Key responsibilities
Investigate and respond to security alerts, incidents, vulnerabilities, and technical security issues.
Implement, configure, and improve security technologies and controls.
Support endpoint, identity, network, cloud, email, vulnerability, and data security.
Deliver cyber security projects, including deployments, upgrades, remediation, and security improvements.
Conduct security assessments and identify risks, vulnerabilities, and control gaps.
Provide practical security recommendations to customers and internal teams.
Assist with security architecture, technical design, documentation, and operational procedures.
Support alignment with frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls and Essential Eight.
Work with IT teams, vendors, customers, and other stakeholders to resolve security issues and deliver projects.
Keep up to date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
About you
Experience in cyber security, infrastructure, networking, cloud, systems administration, or a related technical field.
Good understanding of security fundamentals across endpoints, networks, identity, cloud, vulnerability management, monitoring, and incident response.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and investigate technical problems.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage operational work and projects independently.
Experience with technologies such as Microsoft 365/Azure, AWS, EDR/XDR, SIEM, firewalls, vulnerability management, PowerShell/Python, and security frameworks would be advantageous.
Work Arrangement
This role offers a hybrid and flexible working arrangement. There may be occasional requirements to attend customer sites, the office, project meetings, or other in-person activities depending on operational and project needs.
