Cyber Security Specialist

Summary

Assess and strengthen insider-threat security for a large bank by evaluating tools, processes, and governance, then recommending and coordinating improvements with security, risk, and tech teams.

  • Location: Warsaw - hybrid (3 days in the office per week)

We are looking for an experienced Insider Threat Security Consultant to assess, enhance, and help shape a mature Insider Threat / Internal Threat security landscape within a large-scale financial organization.

This role is primarily assessment- and strategy-oriented, focused on evaluating current capabilities, identifying risks, and driving improvements. In addition, you will support and coordinate the implementation of recommended changes in close collaboration with Cyber Security, Risk, and Technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of existing cyber security tools supporting insider threat prevention, detection, and response

  • Evaluate the effectiveness and utilization of current Insider Threat Program capabilities

  • Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities across tools, processes, and governance

  • Provide clear, prioritized recommendations aligned with business impact and risk exposure

  • Support and coordinate implementation of improvements across multiple teams

  • Collaborate with Cyber Security, Risk, and Technology stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution

  • Lead or contribute to workshops, assessments, and stakeholder discussions

  • Prepare high-quality documentation, reports, and executive-level recommendations

  • Contribute to strengthening security monitoring, detection, and response capabilities

  • Ensure compliance with EU financial sector regulations and security standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience with Insider Threat Programs in large, complex environments

  • Knowledge of Cyber Security tools such as: SIEM, EDR, DLP.

  • SOC experience and Risk Management knowledge.

  • Strong background in cyber security tooling ecosystems (monitoring, detection, investigation)

  • Experience in security assessments, audits, or advisory roles

  • Ability to translate technical findings into business-aligned recommendations

  • Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills

  • Experience working in regulated environments (financial sector preferred)

  • Exposure to security vetting processes and background verification operations (mandatory)

  • Excellent communication skills in English
