Cyber Security Specialist – Identity, Governance and Administration (IGA)
Shared Services EIT are pleased to announce this opportunity as additional headcount due to growth of a recently developed team focusing on Identity Management.
The role will involve managing the work of the wider team which provides service support to new innovative tooling to be introduced to BAE Systems. The tooling will be provided by a Software as a Service Provider and will be introduced in Cloud and On Premis configurations to manage user identity, provision of accounts to access the networks and appropriate permissions for many applications that users need during their working day.
The role will also involve deputising for the Product Owner in the Identity and Governance Assurance team. Whilst the role does have supervisory and guidance responsibilities over lower-graded team members, there is no official line management responsibility.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop your career within BAE Systems due to exposure gained across multiple business areas in a new and pioneering team.
Your main responsibilities as IGA Specialist will be\:
· Direct and coordinate DevOps activities across both operational support and delivery pipelines, ensuring seamless execution of onboarding, integration and service support activities.
· Ensure effective backlog refinement, sprint execution and prioritisation across competing demands (run vs build), working closely with the Product Owner and stakeholders.
· Oversee onboarding of applications and domains into Identity platforms, ensuring consistent, secure and repeatable processes in accordance with the agreed Security Policy.
· Drive continuous improvement of DevOps processes including automation, configuration management, monitoring and release practices across the team.
· Ensure effective incident, problem and change management practices are embedded within the DevOps team for identity and cyber services.
· The verification that systems and processes meet the specified security requirements and that processes to verify on-going compliance are in place.
· The monitoring of compliance with agreed cyber security policies and the assessment and management of relevant risks.
· Manage the workload and resources of the Identity team to deliver the necessary workloads, controls and responses as efficiently as possible
· Collect and analyse qualitative and quantitative data as required. Create reports to communicate team performance, findings and conclusions and proposals for improvement.
Your skills and qualifications\:
· Strong understanding of DevOps operating models, including integration of development and operations, configuration pipelines and service lifecycle management.
· Competent ability to run Dev-Ops sprints for the purposes of on-boarding and upgrading systems.
· Experience managing teams to deliver IT update within a high paced environment
· Knowledge of Identity and Access Management concepts and how they are delivered across both project and BAU environments.
· Understanding of agile delivery frameworks (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFE) and product-based delivery models.
· Experience of working in an IT Development Function or similar.
· Knowledge of Entra is highly desirable.
· Working knowledge of SailPoint or other Identity tooling could prove highly advantageous.
Location\: Flexible, UK. There is an infrequent requirement to attend the Preston site at least once per month, factoring in all UK geographies. If you are based within acceptable commuting distance to Preston, you should expect to attend site once per week as a minimum.
