As a Cyber Security Support Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and resilience of ICT environments across the Department for Child Protection (DCP). Based in the Adelaide CBD, this role contributes to the delivery of critical cyber security functions that help protect systems, information and services across the organisation.
This is an opportunity to apply your cyber security knowledge in a role that contributes to a crucial public service and helps safeguard the systems that enable DCP to support children, young people and families.
In this role, you will:
Support the delivery of ICT security strategies and services that align with relevant frameworks, standards and business needs
Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability reviews across DCP systems
Maintain and enhance cyber security policies, processes and guidelines that protect information and ICT assets
Contribute to cyber security awareness initiatives that improve understanding of security practices across the organisation
Provide technical advice and collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen security practices and resolve ICT security issues.
To be successful, you will:
Bring experience supporting ICT security functions, including risk assessments, security controls and the implementation of effective solutions
Understand cyber security frameworks, standards and risk management practices relevant to ICT environments
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders through clear communication and collaboration
Apply analytical skills to assess complex issues, identify solutions and contribute to improved security outcomes
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, managing priorities and delivering quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
