We are looking for a Cyber Test Automation Engineer to join our group. An ambitious team player who has a deep understanding of operating systems, networking and application security, and can-do approach even with challenging use cases. As a DevOps engineer in Lab42 you’ll need to learn and understand the unique operational requirements and build advanced tools for CI/CD, monitoring and security.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of the team’s automation strategy across a wide range of products, including complex IT, networking, and cybersecurity solutions
  • Own and maintain automation frameworks and testing tools, ensuring scalability, reliability, and adaptability to diverse environments (on-prem, cloud, hybrid)

  • Build and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support fast, secure, and high-quality delivery cycles
  • Develop and execute end-to-end validation scenarios across networking, infrastructure, and security layers (e.g., protocols, APIs, system integrations)
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, DevOps, and security teams to define test strategies and ensure deep functional and security coverage
  • Establish best practices for automation, code quality, security testing, and test design, and mentor team members in adopting them

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience leading or owning test automation efforts in complex systems, preferably involving networking, cybersecurity, or IT infrastructure
  • Strong hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Cucumber, Selenium, or similar), with ability to adapt them to non-standard environments
  • Solid programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar
  • Experience with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls) and/or cybersecurity fundamentals
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into delivery workflows
  • Hands-on experience designing and maintaining lab environments, including virtualized systems, containers, and multi-node setups
  • Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional teams
  • Results-driven mindset with a high level of ownership and accountability
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across engineering, DevOps, IT, and security stakeholders
