About the role:

As a cybersecurity engineer based in Dubai, you will design, implement, and monitor robust security solutions to protect our network infrastructure. You will leverage your 5-8 years of experience in network security, threat detection, incident response, firewall management, and SIEM tools to identify vulnerabilities, respond to security incidents, and drive continuous improvement. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain network security architectures and controls
  • Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
  • Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools to detect threats and anomalies
  • Lead incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery
  • Conduct threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to proactively identify security risks
  • Develop and update incident response plans and playbooks
  • Collaborate with IT, compliance, and business teams to ensure security policies are enforced
  • Provide security awareness training and guidance to stakeholders
  • Prepare and maintain security documentation, reports, and metrics

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field
  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles
  • Proven expertise in network security, threat detection, incident response, firewall management, and SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • In-depth knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
  • Experience with log analysis, malware analysis, and forensics
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • UAE work authorization or eligibility to work in the UAE

Preferred qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC
  • Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance (GDPR, PCI DSS)
  • Scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Previous experience working in the UAE or GCC region
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management experience
