Cybersecurity Engineer Intern (f/m/d)

What you will do:
Monitor networks, systems, and applications for security breaches or intrusions using dedicated security tools and platforms
Support the detection, analysis, and response to security incidents, including post-incident investigations and reporting
Conduct preliminary analysis of security alerts and help assess their potential impact on the organization
Assist in identifying, tracking, and remediating vulnerabilities across our infrastructure
Help deploy, configure, and maintain security tools such as firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, threat intelligence, and phishing simulation/awareness solutions from the Azure security stack
Maintain clear documentation of security incidents, procedures, and processes, and collaborate with IT and other teams to ensure compliance with security policies
What you bring & who you are:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
A basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, networking, firewalls, and security protocols
Familiarity with incident response processes, common operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud environments
Strong communicator and team-oriented mindset, with eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
Good knowledge of English, with a desire to improve it – German or Spanish is a plus
Ideally, you have scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) or knowledge of cloud security principles (Azure, AWS, GCP) – even if you don't meet every point, we look forward to your application
