Cybersecurity Intern

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Part-Time Cybersecurity Intern to join our dynamic team remotely. As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will play a crucial role in driving our business growth by providing technical expertise and support to our cybersecurity team. You will work closely with potential clients to understand their needs, design tailored cybersecurity solutions, and demonstrate the value of our services. This internship is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment, gaining hands-on experience in the IT industry.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the implementation and management of cybersecurity measures to protect client data and systems.

Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.

Provide IT support to clients, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to cybersecurity and network infrastructure.

Assist in the configuration and maintenance of security tools and technologies such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.

Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents as needed.

Develop and maintain documentation for cybersecurity policies, procedures, and protocols.

Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to ensure the highest level of protection for our clients.

Participate in client meetings virtually, to discuss technical solutions and address any queries.

Work with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools to monitor, detect, and respond to potential security threats.

Collaborate with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) team to support incident response and threat analysis.

Utilize Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions to identify and mitigate endpoint security threats.

Assist in the deployment and management of Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platforms to streamline and enhance security operations.

Implement and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies to safeguard sensitive information.

Oversee data backup and retention processes to ensure data integrity and availability in case of incidents.



Requirements

Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity solutions.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.

Familiarity with cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and managed IT services is a plus.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA, EC-Council) are highly desirable.

Proven experience in a cybersecurity or technical consulting role within the IT industry is a plus.


Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity,

or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Strong technical background with hands-on experience in IT support or related

fields.

Freshers or ongoing master's students are encouraged to apply.
