How You Will Make An Impact:
- Partner with cybersecurity, technology, risk, and business stakeholders to define reporting needs, business requirements, and measurable objectives.
- Facilitate interviews, workshops, and working sessions to clarify security metrics, reporting expectations, and data requirements.
- Translate stakeholder needs into functional specifications, reporting requirements, process documentation, and actionable deliverables.
- Gather, reconcile, validate, and analyze information from databases, spreadsheets, internal platforms, and reporting tools.
- Use SQL to extract data, perform reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and validate reporting results.
- Develop and enhance recurring dashboards, scorecards, management reports, and executive presentations.
- Build clear data visualizations using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable business intelligence tools.
- Identify meaningful trends, anomalies, data-quality issues, and performance insights that support informed decision-making.
- Evaluate existing processes and recommend opportunities for automation, standardization, and improved reporting efficiency.
- Support testing, user acceptance, training, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of reporting solutions.
- Coordinate communication between business users, data owners, and technical teams throughout the reporting lifecycle.
- Maintain requirements, procedures, process maps, reporting definitions, and supporting documentation.
- Help ensure reporting practices align with information security, privacy, governance, and data-management expectations.
Do You Bring Proven Success in Security Reporting and Business Analysis?
- 4–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Reporting Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar professional.
- Demonstrated experience gathering requirements, facilitating stakeholder discussions, and documenting functional specifications.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience, including pivot tables, formulas, lookups, data reconciliation, and report development.
- Experience developing reports, dashboards, or scorecards using Power BI, Tableau, or another business intelligence platform.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including the ability to create queries for data extraction and validation.
- Experience performing data analysis, identifying trends, and communicating findings to business and leadership audiences.
- Knowledge of process mapping, process analysis, and continuous improvement practices.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and the software development lifecycle.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to reporting accuracy and data integrity.
- Ability to organize competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-moving, regulated environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity, technology risk, governance, regulatory reporting, or control functions is preferred.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity KPIs, KRIs, executive dashboards, control metrics, or performance reporting is preferred.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Power Query, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or similar platforms is beneficial.
- Exposure to data governance, data quality, information management, or information security controls is beneficial.
