Cybersecurity Platform Engineer

This is a hands-on engineering role at the core of Amusnet's security technology stack.
As a Cybersecurity Platform Engineer, you will own the technical lifecycle of the platforms protecting our endpoints, data, infrastructure and cloud environments - including EDR, SIEM, SOAR, DLP, MDM, Email Security and Vulnerability Management.


Your focus will be on engineering, integration and automation: improving how security platforms are configured, connected and operated, reducing manual effort and building scalable security capabilities.


You will join the Architecture & Engineering function within Information Security and work closely with Cyber Defence Operations, Threat Intelligence, IAM, GRC, DevOps, SysOps and engineering teams.

THE PERFECT TEAM MEMBER IS INSPIRED TO:

  • Own and continuously improve enterprise security platforms, including their configuration, integrations, upgrades and technical lifecycle
  • Build integrations and data flows between security tools, cloud services and enterprise systems
  • Develop and tune detection logic, EDR policies and SOAR automation
  • Automate repetitive security operations using scripting, APIs, Infrastructure as Code and AI-assisted technologies
  • Support complex security investigations with platform expertise and preventative technical improvements
  • Operate and improve vulnerability scanning capabilities and support external penetration-testing activities
  • Partner with infrastructure, cloud and engineering teams to embed effective security controls and secure-by-design practices
  • Monitor platform health, coverage and effectiveness and communicate technical risks and priorities clearly

THE SKILLS THAT WILL GRAB OUR ATTENTION:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, platform engineering or a closely related technical role
  • Practical experience with several technologies such as EDR, SIEM, SOAR, DLP, MDM, Email Security, Vulnerability Management, CASB
  • Strong systems and infrastructure background across Windows, Linux and macOS
  • Solid understanding of network, system and cloud architecture
  • Hands-on scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash or similar
  • Experience with automation, APIs and tools
  • Experience with public cloud and SaaS environments, including AWS, GCP or enterprise productivity platforms
  • Working knowledge of containers, Kubernetes and virtualised infrastructure
  • A strong engineering mindset focused on automation, reliability and continuous improvement
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both engineers and senior stakeholders
