Randstad has recently partnered with a top conglomerate providing IT solutions across Malaysia and right now they are currently expanding their cybersecurity arm in AI for a Cybersecurity Specialist.

about the job

  • Product Ideation & Development: Collaborate closely with the AI development team to
    design and build an AI-powered cybersecurity product, currently envisioned as an
    automated penetration testing tool.
  • Domain Expertise: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on offensive and
    defensive security, guiding the AI team on attack vectors, vulnerabilities, and real-world
    hacking scenarios to properly train the AI models.
  • Testing & Validation: Conduct rigorous ethical hacking and security assessments on
    the AI product itself to ensure its efficacy, accuracy, and safety before market
    deployment.
  • AI Integration: Leverage your experience using AI/Machine Learning tools in
    cybersecurity to help structure data, define features, and improve the product's
    threat-hunting and exploitation capabilities.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work in a highly agile, ambiguous environment, pivoting as
    the product details solidify, and provide regular progress updates directly to executive
    leadership.

about the requirements

  • Experience: 3 to 4 years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity, specifically in
    penetration testing, ethical hacking, or offensive/defensive security operations (Red
    Team/Blue Team).
  • AI Familiarity: Practical experience or a strong, demonstrable interest in applying
    Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Large Language Models (LLMs) to
    cybersecurity tasks.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in scripting/programming languages commonly used in
    security and AI (e.g., Python, Bash) and familiarity with standard pentesting frameworks
    and tools.
  • Adaptability: Comfort working in a "startup" environment where project parameters are
    still evolving and proactive problem‑solving is required.
  • Communication: Strong ability to translate complex cybersecurity concepts to software
    developers, AI engineers, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bonus Points: Relevant industry certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or specific AI/ML
    credentials.
