Cylinder Maintenance Technician - Houston, TX

· Inspects cylinder interior and exterior before reconditioning.

· Devalves cylinders that need to be repainted and retesting.

· Tests cylinders for proper steel strength by using re-testing procedure of filling cylinders with water, pressurizing the cylinders with a compressor and reading the computer results.

· Determines if cylinder has proper steel strength from computer results.

· Sandblasts cylinders for repainting by using sandblasting machine.

· Examines finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications.

· Repaints cylinders using spraying equipment.

· Revalves cylinders.

· Records inventory of new and re-tested cylinders, paint and valves.

· Cleans work areas, shotblaster, and paint sprayers.

· Helps load and unload cylinders from trucks when needed.

· Utilizes Lintrak in a variety of ways to help with asset management.
