Summary
Directs a Child Development Center facility at Fort Leonard Wood, overseeing budgeting, personnel supervision, program operations, and regulatory compliance for child and youth services.
This position is located at Child Development Center (CDC) 408, Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Morale Welfare and Recreation Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee applicable to employees working at least 15 hours per week: First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child: 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
Incumbent is responsible for the administration of the facility to include implementation of budgeting and financial management, personnel management, program operations, special needs, and compliance, among other tasks.
Serves as a first level supervisor for assigned staff. Supervises staff to include assigning work, conducting performance reviews and approving leave. Makes decisions on work and administrative issues presented by subordinate supervisors.
Ensures the implementation of a developmentally appropriate CYS program that promotes the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of children and youth.
Provides program oversight and accountability for the performance of employees and the safety of children in accordance with Federal, DoD, Service, and local policies and standards.
Ensures the program complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Prepares and executes Appropriated fund (APF) and Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) budgets for the center.
