Job Description:
Are you an organized and proactive project planning professional who enjoys bringing structure to complex digital projects? Join Sibelco and help drive the successful delivery of our Digitalisation & Automation and Operational Excellence initiatives.
We are looking for a Project Planner to support the successful execution of engineering and digital transformation projects across our operations. Acting as a key partner to Project Managers and the Director of Operational Excellence and D&A, you will ensure projects remain on track by coordinating planning, monitoring progress, managing budgets and purchase activities, and proactively engaging stakeholders to meet critical deadlines.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and continuously improving the way projects are delivered. While the role is strongly focused on project planning and coordination, it also offers the opportunity to progressively develop expertise in Digitalisation & Automation initiatives and contribute to the future transformation of our operations.
In the role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource planning to ensure engineering and operational projects are delivered on time.
Coordinating stakeholders across engineering teams, IT, site operations, suppliers, automation engineers and project managers, proactively driving actions and ensuring deadlines are achieved.
Monitoring project budgets, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and SAP activities to provide accurate visibility of project progress and expenditure.
Preparing project dashboards, reports, KPIs, and management updates, using Power BI where appropriate, to support informed decision-making.
Driving continuous improvement of planning processes, reporting standards, and project governance practices across the Digitalisation & Automation and Operational Excellence portfolio.
To be successful in this role, you have:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
At least 1-2 years of experience supporting or managing digital, engineering, industrial, manufacturing, or operational projects, with proven experience coordinating multiple stakeholders.
A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, capable of managing priorities, following up on actions, and powerful initiative.
Interest in digitalization and automation technologies and their application within industrial and mining operations.
Big advantage if proven experience working with project planning tools, SAP, Microsoft Excel, and reporting solutions such as Power BI.
Strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and an interest in developing your career within Digitalisation & Automation.
